WELCOME TO THE FARNHAM PARK (Buckinghamshire) GOLF CLUB

Farnham Park Golf Course was originally the 9 hole Ladies Course of Stoke Poges Golf Club which was owned by Sir Noel Mobbs, the architect of Slough Trading Estate.  Prior to the first world war the course was played regularly by the local ladies.  When the first world war broke out the course was turned back into farmland, however, the persons working the ground kept the tees and greens throughout the duration of the war.

Following this war the course returned to a nine hole golf course and continued until 1939 when once again the course was returned to farmland to help the war effort.  Brian Matthews was then a young lad who farmed the course and once again kept the tees and greens in good order for after the war.

A deed of gift with Charitable Status was given by the Mobbs Family to the people living in the area and by an Act of Parliament. Eton Rural Council were the first operators and following boundary changes, Slough then South Bucks District Council then took over the Management of the Course.

Farnham Park Golf Course was reopened in 1975 and Farnham Park Golf Club was formed in 1977. In 1982 the Council purchased more land and Hawtree were asked to develop an eighteen hole course. The course is a fine 18 hole parkland course with many established trees and ditches crossing the fairways. It is a par 70 for the men and a par 73 for ladies.

The Club has seen much success over the years and has won honours at County level. Farnham Park Golf Club is a member of the NAPGC (National Association of Public Golf Courses) and have won many titles over the years. The Ladies have won the White Webbs Competition four times in the past ten years. FPGC have also been finalists in many other NAPGC competitions.

Farnham Park Golf Club run competitions every weekend for all members, every Monday for Ladies and every Wednesday for Seniors. The Seniors section is a mixed section for all those aged 55 and over. Farnham Park Golf Club run a full programme of matches and competitions with other Golf Clubs.

2011 Danny Elliott retained the NAPGC Men's Championship JH Taylor Shield.

South Bucks District Council have renamed the Golf Course to South Buckinghamshire Golf Course, however Farnham Park Golf Club will remain the same.
